Team Diaries : It is said that a company works around with the combined contribution of every individual’s effort on board. Each one of them brings something unique to the team. That “something unique” gives the company a character of its own. Keeping that in mind, we are sharing experiences of our team members; hence, our TEAM DIARIES.
When the world is going digital, I still start my day at the office with a pen and paper. I am sure having everything digitally available has many advantages. But there are certain points where sticking to old school habits, like being analogue is unbeatable.
For me, as a content creator, the difference between a pen & paper and writing on a computer is like cooking on a hot plate and cooking with fire. It makes a lot of difference in taste. I am sure if anyone has ever had food cooked on a wood fire and also an induction top can relate to me.
My first draft has to be on the paper 1st, then the further improvements can be done on a system rather than rewriting on paper. It doesn’t need to be any hard and fast rule or a mindset that you can only write on a laptop or a paper. Use both if you need to. Even this article for our Team Diaries has gone through the same process.
Where being digital gives you the benefit of correct grammar, vocabulary, typo, etc., writing on paper gives you the natural flow, free from any worries of technicalities. Balance out the ratio according to what suits you the best.
I found mine, recognized the pattern that suits the best for me. If you are still reading this article, I think you agree with me somewhere inside your heart. Find your pattern. When you do, let me know how it turns out for you. Waiting for your comments.
